Every time you sign up for a new social app, you have to rush to claim your username. If someone else got there first, too bad. And that username only works on that one app anyway.
this is a psa , if you visit a website that offers to let you sign in with atmosphere/bluesky you should click the little question mark in the top right. if it says "transition:generic", that app can do ANYTHING with the data in your account, short of dms and actually deleting/moving your account..

reminder: the biggest atmosphere app in existence (bluesky) does not even have OAuth yet and has total access to your account scopes will come to @anisota.net, but it’s gonna take a bit longer & the lack of scopes is not due to forgetfulness or low quality… scopes didn’t exist when i made anisota
