I increasingly believe that most replies in big-room social spaces are really semantic tagging: "this post is that kind of thing!" "this post has a keyword I don't like!" Sometimes you get canned responses that people deliver in response to the tagging/sorting they've done. "I have a meme!"

Collaborative tagging, also known as social tagging or folksonomy, allows users to apply public tags to online items, typically to make those items easier for themselves or others to find later. it's a very old rule of moderated digital spaces that you need an "i know it when i see it" clause for harassment or else bad actors will aggressively toe the line without ever technically going over. that's why i don't think the "why cant you give me an exact definition" replies will go anywhere
